François Bazin
François Emmanuel Joseph Bazin ( born September 4, 1816 in Marseille, † July 2, 1878 in Paris) was a French composer.
François Bazin studied at the Paris Conservatoire and won the Prix de Rome. After his return from Italy, he taught at the conservatory as a singing teacher, since 1849 as harmony and since 1871 as a teacher of composition. One of his students was Charles Lecocq.
In addition to nine comic operas he composed an oratorio, a fair, choruses and songs in the romantic style.
