François Corteggiani

François Corteggiani ( born September 21, 1953 in Nice ) is a French comic book author and signatory.

Before Corteggiani in 1974, the comic book medium turned, he worked after graduating from high school, first as a commercial artist. Initially in Spirou, he later switched to the magazine Pif Gadget. Originally served as a draftsman, he later wrote scenarios for other artists. In 1979 he began a collaboration with Pierre Tranchand, from the Chafouin et Baluchon, Bastos and Zakusky ( Bastos et Zakousky ), created Tangerine (Navy) and Smith & Wesson (Smith et Weston ). After the death of Jean -Michel Charlier Corteggiani took over in 1990, the series The youth of Blueberry (La Jeunesse de Blueberry ) as a copywriter. In 2004, he became chief editor (editor -in-chief ) of the re-issue magazine Pif Gadget.

In addition Corteggiani acts, among others, at the Sundance Series (drawings: Michel Suro ) with, Thunder Hawks (drawings: Colin Wilson) and Tatyana K. ( Félix Meynet / Emanuele Barison fr. Tatiana K., drawings).

Frequently Corteggiani also collaborated with the artist Giorgio Cavazzano. Their collaboration has produced a series of stories with Pif the dog, and with Disney characters, as well as series like Thimotée titanium, Peter O'Pencil ( in the original: Silas Finn ) and Captain Rogers.
