Frank Aletter

Frank Aletter ( born January 14, 1926 in Queens, New York City; † 13 May, 2009 Tarzana, California ) was an American stage, film and television actor.

Life

In the 1950s Aletter appeared in the musicals Bells Are Ringing and Wish You Were Here, and in the play Time Limit on Broadway.

From 1956 Aletter played more than 100 roles in films and on numerous television series. Directed by John Ford, he debuted in the film Mister Roberts. From 1960, he became known in the lead role of Buddy Flower in the sitcom Bringing Up Buddy. Other film roles he took on in Tora! Tora! Tora!, And Walt Disney's The Tiger is going on (A Tiger Walks ). Aletter occurred * A * S * H, Ironside, Matlock, Dallas and Falcon Crest in the television series M.

Besides his work, he became involved in the U.S. Actors Guild Screen Actors Guild, whose vice- president, he was in 1987.

In 1958 he married the former Miss America Lee Meriwether. The couple had two daughters, the actress Kyle Aletter - Oldham and Lesley Aletter. Ten years after his divorce in 1974, married his second wife Estella Aletter 1984.
