Frank Capra, Jr.
Frank Capra Jr. ( born March 20, 1934 in Los Angeles, California as Frank Warner Capra, † December 19, 2007 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) was an American film producer.
Life
He was one of three children of the director Frank Capra and his second wife, Lucille Rayburn Warner. Originally, he wanted to be scientists and also earned a degree in geology at the California Institute of Technology. However, he then worked in the research division of Hughes Tool Company, the Group of Howard Hughes and turned there for several short films about special weapons and torpedoes, which he came in contact with the film business.
Capra was the president of EUE Screen Gems Studios in Wilmington, North Carolina. Like his father and his son, Frank Capra III, he was active in show business. He produced several television movies and feature films, mainly in the 1970s and 1980s.
