Frank Lowy

Frank Lowy (born 22 October 1930 in Fiľakovo, Slovakia) is an Australian entrepreneur.

Life

Lowy into a Jewish family and lived in his childhood in Budapest. From 1946 to 1952 he lived in Israel and then moved to Australia. Lowy founded and led the Australian retail company Westfield Group. According to the U.S. Forbes magazine Lowy is one of the richest Australians. Since 2003, Lowy is president of the Football Federation Australia. From 2008 to 2010 he ran his company into the spotlight of the U.S. tax investigation after Swiss and Liechtenstein accounts were uncovered.

Since 2003 he is the owner of the mega - yacht Ilona IV It is Lowys fourth yacht of that name, and he has four times round the world.

Lowy is married, has three sons who took over the management of Westfield and lives in Sydney.
