Frank von Behren (2010)

Frank von Behren ( born September 28, 1976 in Hille ) is a former German handball player. He played until his career end in August 2008 on the positions back center of the room and back room links.

Sporting career

On 26 September 2006, Frank moved from Behren in the DHB Cup match between SG Flensburg- Handewitt and local rivals DHK Flensborg to a torn ACL, so he had to take a six -month mandatory break. That's why he was also missing in the squad of the German team at the World Championships in 2007. Upon his recovery, was able to von Behren never enforce the right Flensburg. Then he left in January 2008 to resolve his contract with the promotion and townspeople joined his old club GWD Minden.

For the 2008 European Championship was von Behren initially not in the squad. But after Oliver Roggisch last main round match drew upon a hamstring, was re-nominated by Behren for the semi-finals on 26 January 2008.

After a thumb fracture and a shoulder injury ended Frank von Behren on 1 August 2008 officially his career as a player. He will be working as sports director at GWD Minden future and be the successor to the current GWD manager Horst Brede Meier long-term. From Behren since October 2008 studied sports management in Oldenburg.

Frank von Behren is married and has three children.
