Sweden national handball team

The Swedish men's national handball team represents Sweden in international tournaments in handball.

With four titles at the World Championships, four titles at the European Championships and four silver medals at the Olympic games, the team ranks among the most successful in the world. In the most time between 1988 and 2004, as at 16 Championships 13 medals were earned, Bengt Johansson coached the team.

Many players on the team gained worldwide success. The most-capped player Magnus Wislander 1990 was awarded to the World Handball Player of the Year, in 2000 we named him in addition to the handball player of the century.

Magnus Wislander with 384 international matches the most capped player in Sweden, followed by Ola Lindgren ( 376 games ) Staffan Olsson ( 358 games ), Per Carlen (329 inserts), Tomas Svensson ( 327 games) and Magnus Andersson (307 games).
