Frank Wennmann

When Frank (b. 1959) was a swimmer in the 1970s and 1980s.

He was 1978 and 1979 German champion over 400 meters freestyle, after he was defeated in 1977 still on this track from Peter cam scarce, and 1980 German champion over 200 meters freestyle. In the swimming world championships in Berlin in 1978, he won the 4 × 200 m freestyle relay bronze medal.

His swimming style was often referred to as "elegant". In addition to his national and international success, he was successful with his SG Gladbeck and won, among others, the German Championship 1981 in Bonn with the 4 × 200 m freestyle relay in German record time with Michael Kraus, Dirk Korthals and Volker Friedrich.
