Frank William La Rue

Frank William La Rue ( born 1952 ) is the UN Special Rapporteur on the right to freedom of opinion and freedom of expression.

La Rue studied at the Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala, and the Johns Hopkins University. He is the founder of the Center for Legal Action for Human Rights ( CALDH ), a Guatemalan NGO. In 2008 he took over the office of the UN Special Rapporteur of Ambeyi Ligabo.
