Ballard suggested by the fact for a record contract with the label Reprise. In the spring of 2009 he went to Nashville and made his debut album. Both the eponymous album and the first single, Tell Me You Get Lonely reached number 33 of the respective country charts. The second single A Buncha Girls came in at number 27 of the Country singles.
