Franquia is a village in the north of Uruguay.

Geography

It is located in the northwestern part of the department of Artigas in the 7th sector north of Bella Unión and Cuareim at the mouth of the Río Cuareim in the Río Uruguay.

Population

Franquia has 935 inhabitants, of whom 484 men and 451 women (as of 2011).
