Frans G. Bengtsson

Frans Gunnar Bengtsson ( born October 4, 1894 in Tossjö in Ängelholm, Skåne, † December 19, 1954 in Ribbingsfors, Västergötland ) was a Swedish author and chess players.

Life

Chess players

Bengtsson was one of the strongest chess players in Sweden at this time. He played on the front boards of the team from Skåne Schackförbund. He called games, which were opened with e2- e4, as a " real chess ".

Stamp

In October 1994, a Swedish stamp was issued with the image of Bengtsson.
