Frans H. van Eemeren

Frans Hendrik van Eemeren ( born April 7, 1946 in Helmond ) is a Dutch scientist communication and argumentation theorists. He is a professor of speech communication, argumentation theory and rhetoric at the University of Amsterdam and co-founder of the pragma - dialectics.

Life

He graduated in 1982 with Robert Grootendorst in linguistic communication, with whom he developed the theory of argumentation of the pragma - dialectics.
