Frans Seda

Franciscus " Frans " Xavier Seda ( born October 4, 1926 on Flores, the Dutch East Indies; † 31 December 2009 Pondok Indah, Jakarta, Indonesia) was an Indonesian politician.

Biography

Originally from a Catholic family Frans Seda was appointed in 1963 by President Sukarno as Minister of plantations in the Cabinet, but which he belonged only to 1964.

Following the appointment of General Suharto as Prime Minister in 1966, he was appointed by this but as finance minister in the government of the New Order ( Orde Baru ). In a cabinet reshuffle, he was after its official takeover of the presidency on 27 March 1968, Minister of Communications and Tourism, and finally retired after five years in office in 1973 left the government.
