Franciscus Jozef Maria Wiertz ( born December 2, 1942 in Kerkrade ) is the 23rd bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Roermond and the 9th bishop of Roermond since 1853 His heraldic motto ( slogan ) is:. Youth and Education

Frans Wiertz was the eldest of nine children of a middle-class Catholic family from the Kerkrader middle class. As a 12 -year-old, he attended the minor seminary Rolduc in Kerkrade, where he was taught to a later ecclesiastical career back. In 1961 he finished school with the Abitur. , But then he decided not to attend the Grand Seminar, since he does not yet being assigned as priest was sure at that stage of life.
