Franz Leopold Sonnenschein

Franz Leopold Sonnenschein ( born July 13, 1817 in Cologne, † February 26, 1879 ) was a German chemist.

Life

He learned the pharmacy, built in the 30s in Berlin, a small laboratory and prepared jointly with a doctor other pharmacists on the state exam before. At the same time, he studied chemistry and habilitated in 1852 as a lecturer. He devoted himself especially analytical chemistry and developed a very extensive practical activity by which he gained great respect and prestige. Many technical companies mainly owed ​​him their success. The analytical and the judicial ( forensic ) chemistry he supported by numerous scientific studies. He died on 26 February 1879 as a professor at the University of Berlin.
