Franz Marx

Franz Marx ( born January 20, 1963 in Innsbruck) is an Austrian wrestler.

Together with Anton Marchl he was one of the Austrian wrestler who most recently for the Olympic Games in Barcelona qualified in 1992.

Achievements

He took several times Austrian Champion title and was able to attend three times at Summer Olympics. One of the greatest successes include the Junior World Championship gold medal in Colorado Springs and the bronze medal at the World Championships 1981 in Oslo Ringer.

In 2002 he was honored as part of the athletes in town, as one of the athletes who were able to prove one of the first three places at the World or European Championships, in the World or European Cup or national champion, were honored. He is a member of the AC Hoetting.
