Franziska Gude

Franziska " Franzi " Gude ( born March 19, 1976 in Göttingen ) is a German former hockey player, she won the 2004 Olympic gold medal.

Franziska Gude began at HC Göttingen with the sport of hockey. In 1995 she transferred to DHC Hanover and after a season continues to Rot-Weiss Köln. 1998, 2003 and 2007, she won with the Cologne the German Cup, in 1999 won the European Champions Cup, 2000 European Cup Winners' Cup.

1998 debuted Franziska Gude in the German national hockey team, at the European Championships in 1999 in her adopted home of Cologne, she won her first international medal when the German team lost in the final against the Netherlands. At the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, the German team came in seventh place. 2002 won Franziska Gude with the German team at the Indoor Hockey Championships. The field hockey World Cup 2002 in Perth, the German team came in seventh place as at the Olympic Games. 2003, the first world championship in indoor hockey was played in Leipzig, the German team won the title. Outdoors the German women won bronze at the 2003 European Championships in Barcelona. At the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens Franziska Gude was there in all six games; in the finals won the German women 2-1 on the selection of the Netherlands, Franziska Gude shot while the second goal of the German team. After several years of international break Franziska Gude returned in January 2008 back for Indoor Hockey Championship again for the national team and won the title again. Overall, Franziska Gude participated in 168 international matches, including 21 in the hall.

Franziska Gude has a degree in physical education teacher and high school teacher for English, Spanish and sports.
