Fred Diamond
Fred Diamond ( born November 19, 1964) is an American mathematician. His research focus is on modular forms and Galois representations.
Diamond studied at the University of Michigan (Bachelor degree in 1983 ) and his doctorate in 1988 with Andrew Wiles of Princeton University. He is a professor at King's College London.
Diamond has worked together with Christophe Breuil, Brian Conrad and Richard Taylor a proof of the full Taniyama - Shimura conjecture and thus the work of Andrew Wiles and Richard Taylor, who were sufficient to prove Fermat's last theorem generalizes.
