Freddy Got Fingered

Freddy Got Fingered is an American comedy film from 2001 directed by Tom Green, who also took over the lead role and collaborated on the screenplay.

Action

The cartoonist Gordon Brody tries his idea for a TV show to a transmitter for sale. He fails and returns disillusioned back to his family. There he has constant conflict with his father. These culminate in the fact that Gordon his father accused his younger brother Freddy molested, but what he can produce no evidence. Otherwise, the film deals with the episodic adventures of Gordon.

Background

The original version of the film was rated by the Motion Picture Association of America as an NC -17, after which he was subsequently cut to obtain a Restricted.

The film won five Golden Raspberry. He was voted the worst film of the year, Tom Green was honored as the worst lead actor, director and screenwriter. The supporting actor Rip Torn, Drew Barrymore and Julie Hagerty each received a nomination for Worst Supporting Actor. Tom Green appeared as the first prize winner at the ceremony and received the Golden Raspberries.

In the Golden Raspberries 2010 Freddy Got Fingered was nominated for worst film of the decade.

With production costs of $ 15,000,000 were recorded in the American cinema $ 14,333,252. Was profitable until the DVD release, there have been in the rental $ 24,300,000 taken.

Criticism
