Frédéric Nihous

Frédéric Nihous [ fʀedeʀik nius ] ( born August 15, 1967 in Valenciennes ) is chairman of the French party Chasse, pêche, nature, tradition and was for this candidate in the French presidential election of 2007.

Biography

Nihous was born in Valenciennes and is the son of a dentist. He studied law in Lille. In 2002, he led the campaign by Jean Saint- Josse for the former French presidential election, the first ballot could combine 4.23% of the vote.

On September 2, 2006 Nihous was determined at a meeting of his party in Cerny, Essonne, of 82.94 % of the delegates to the candidate for the French 2007 presidential election. On 16 March 2007, he announced to have reached 655 more than the 500 required for candidacy in the presidential elections signatures. Three days later, on March 19, Nihous was taken from the Constitutional Council in the list of the twelve official candidates in the presidential election.

In the first round of the presidential election on 22 April 2007 Nihous received 420 645 votes, corresponding to a share of 1.15 % of the valid votes cast.

Since 2008 Nihous is chairman of his party.
