Geography
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 22.5 km ², of which 99% ( 22.3 km ²) of land masses and 1% ( 0.2 km ² ) of water masses.
History
The city was named after the landowner Frederick A. Clark. Once declared the city on September 9, 1908 for independent, Frederick was a coal mining town. She lured into this function, many from Italy, France, Greece, Turkey and in various Slavic countries.
