Frederick Goodfellow

Frederick William Goodfellow ( born March 7, 1874 in Walsall, † November 22, 1960 in Croydon ) was a British athlete and Tauzieher.

Goodfellow took part in the 1908 Olympic Games in London in the tug of war and won with the British team the gold medal. In fact, the silver as the bronze medal also went to British teams. The 34 -year-old at this time Goodfellow worked as a police officer. The winning team, to which he belonged, consisted of British policemen. They bore the name London City Police. In the final of the competition on July 18, 1908 the team defeated the Police as Liverpool team titled team.
