Frederick Ponsonby, 4th Baron Ponsonby of Shulbrede

Frederick Matthew Thomas Ponsonby, 4th Baron Ponsonby of Shulbrede ( born October 27, 1958) is a British peer and politician of the Labour Party.

Upon the death of his father in 1990 he inherited his title of nobility and the associated seat in the House of Lords. He joined the Labour Party at and participated regularly in parliamentary debates. With the introduction of the House of Lords Act 1999, he lost his seat in the House of Lords. In 2000 he was raised to life peer as Baron Ponsonby of Roehampton, of Shulbrede in the County of West Sussex and received back a seat in the House of Lords.
