Frederick River

The Frederick River is a river in the middle of the Australian state of Western Australia. It is located in the Pilbara region.
Geography
The river rises on the southern slopes of Kenneth Range and flows initially northwest and then southwest, where it flows at settlement Cobra Bangemall in the Lyons River.

Origin of the name
The river was named in 1866 by explorer Edward Hooley. This was in the area in search of Frederick Roe, the son of John Septimus Roe.
