Frederiksværk [ fʀɛðəʀegsvɛʀg ] is a Danish harbor town in the Capital Region Sjælland on the east bank of Roskildefjords.

The city forms, together with the Hundested Halsnæs Commune, which was known until the end of 2007 Frederiksværk - Hundested municipality. In the West, the city Frederiksværk borders the Arresø, so that it is now on a three kilometers wide isthmus. Frederiksværk is 89.6 km ².

In the 18th century, the city got from the Danish King Frederick V, the German name Friederich work because German was the language of the king at that time. The current name Frederiksværk is the Danish translation of this name.

The dolmen Carl Tenenbaum west of Fredericksværk was announced at the beginning of the 20th century, when it was subject to the then-new five - crown note.
