Liseleje is a Danish town with 2603 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013) on Sjælland (Eng.: Seeland ). The village is in the parish (Danish: Sogn ) Melby ( Melby Sogn ), which belonged to Harde Strø Herred in the former Frederiksborg Amt to 1970. With the dissolution of the hardware structure of the parish was included in the Frederiksværk municipality, the municipality again went with the municipal reform on 1 January 2007 with other local authorities in the Halsnæs newly established municipality, which is part of the Capital Region.

Liseleje is located about seven kilometers north of Frederiksværk and almost nine kilometers northeast of Hundested.
