Friedrich Jolly

Friedrich Jolly (* November 24, 1844 in Heidelberg, † January 4, 1904 in Berlin) was a German physician.

Friedrich Jolly was the son of the physicist Philipp von Jolly; his uncle was the Baden State Minister Julius Jolly.

Jolly studied medicine at the Universities of Munich and Göttingen. He habilitated in 1871 at the Julius- Maximilians- University of Würzburg in 1873, " ao Professor of Psychiatry ". As such, he was appointed director of the psychiatric clinic in Strasbourg and in 1875 for "or Prof. ". From 1890 he was the successor of Carl Friedrich Otto Westphal ( 1833-1890 ) director of the psychiatric clinic of the Charité in Berlin.
