Friedrich Weber (veterinarian)

Friedrich Weber ( born January 30, 1892 in Frankfurt am Main, † July 19, 1955 ) was a veterinarian at the University of Munich and ministry officials and SS officers in Nazi Germany.

Life

Friedrich Weber enrolled in the summer semester 1912 at the Veterinary University of Munich. In August 1914 he entered the first Schwere-Reiter - Regiment " Prince Charles of Bavaria " in Munich. After the First World War, Weber finished his studies in 1919. In the same year he took under Franz Ritter von Epp part in the overthrow of the Bavarian Soviet Republic. In 1920 he received his license.

As of March 1920 Weber took part in the suppression of uprisings in the Ruhr area as a group leader with the time volunteer corps Godin. On 1 October 1920 he became an assistant at the Institute of Physiology Animal Veterinary Faculty of the University of Munich. During his tenure there, he received his doctorate in 1922 with his thesis about a method for determining the extract nitrogen. He was also a fellow of the Rockefeller Foundation.

In Nazi State Weber was first from April 1, 1934 Ministerial in the Reich Ministry of the Interior, then from June 1, 1935 Assistant Secretary, and finally from the April 20, 1936 Secretary of State. Friedrich Weber was appointed on 26 July 1939, honorary professor at the Veterinary Faculty of the University of Berlin. Within the SS, he took in 1944 to the rank of a group leader a.

In May 1945, Weber was detained by American military. In denazification court he was first on July 5, 1948 in the Group I ( Major Offenders ) classified and sent to a labor camp. On appeal on May 3, 1949, he was first in the group III ( lesser offender ), ultimately in the group IV ( follower ) classified. After the Second World War, Weber continued to practice his profession as a veterinarian until his death.
