Frijid Pink

Frijid Pink was an American band that was founded in Detroit in 1967. The founding members were Richard Stevers (drums), Gary Ray Thompson (guitar ), Tom Harris ( bass) and Kelly Green ( vocals). In 1969 she received a record deal with Parrot Records.

The greatest success achieved Frijid Pink with her version of The House Of The Rising Sun. Psychedelic distorted and overdriven electric guitar made ​​the song in this version of a classic hard rock. In 1970 Frijid Pink had with the world title success: number seven in the U.S., number seven in the UK and two weeks at number one in the German charts. Following the band get some minor successes, including the cover of Elvis Presley hits Heartbreak Hotel. But the initial success could not repeat the band. After one last album in 1975, they broke up.
