Fritz (chess)
Fritz is a commercial chess program in the company ChessBase, whose programmed by Frans Morsch and Mathias Feist chess engine ( the game program in the strict sense, which is usually used under different user interfaces ) for many years one of the top programs. Name
The name Fritz was an idea of young " advertising people " (M. Feist ), originally the program was to be called Brutus. This name was used by ChessBase later for another project with Christian Donninger from which eventually became the program Hydra.

Versions
The first version of the program was released in 1991, ran under MS -DOS and was written in the C programming language.
