Fritz Manteuffel

Fritz Manteuffel ( January 11, 1875 *, † April 21, 1941 ) was a German gymnast who competed for Germany at the 1896 Summer Olympics as a gymnast in the disciplines of bars, high bar, pommel horse and horse jumping. His exact results are not known, but he reached in the individual competitions no medal. Together with the other German gymnasts he reached two gold medals in the disciplines stretching team bars and team. In the Summer Olympics 1900, he came again to the gym, this time there was only the turn -around, in which he totaled 223 points and thus landed on the 72nd place out of 135 participants. He was also the sixth- best in the German turn -around.
