The collecting and cataloging manuscripts and literature Mecklenburg authors of the 19th century, Fritz Reuter Literature Archive ( FRLA ) in Berlin.

General

The collection activities are preferred to the Low German write Fritz Reuter and the High German written Ida Hahn -Hahn. In the 19th century the two novelists included in the German-speaking world and beyond the most widely read authors with Mecklenburg roots. Another focal point is formed of the 20th century belonging Mecklenburg Friedrich Griese.

The Fritz Reuter Literature Archive is the early 1970s resulted from private initiative and literary interest of Fritz Reuter ( 1810-1874 ). Founder and owner is a native of Mecklenburg journalist and former publisher Hans -Joachim Griephan. The archive is understood as a preferred collection and documentation center to Fritz Reuter, his time and his contemporaries. Included in this are also authors who have Fritz Reuter literary influences, to see literature in the tradition of Fritz Reuter, deals with Fritz Reuter and his time or on Fritz Reuter and expressed his work.

With its stocks and literary information that FRLA wants to promote the study of Fritz Reuter, his life and his effect and in particular support scientific research. The FRLA sees itself as a complement to the other institutions of the Reuter reception: Fritz Reuter Society Neubrandenburg, Fritz Reuter Literature Museum Stavenhagen, Reuter -Wagner- Museum Eisenach.

The structure of the FRLA include major autographs stocks, preferred Mecklenburg provenance. In addition, the stocks of FRLA include Fritz Reuter and Ida Hahn- Hahn: works ( total expenditure, parts of collections, translations into foreign languages ​​), work to live, to work and to effect, pictures and views, environment literature, convoluted as well as newspaper and magazine articles. Major stocks are because deposited outside, only with a delay of 24-48 hours for inspection are available.

The manuscripts of the FRLA includes albums, album pages, dedications and drawings ( by the hand of Fritz Reuter ), letters and maps, manuscripts and documents as well as documents and files.

My collection consists of, inter alia, of families (some ) slowing of the preacher and poet Johann Ernst Theodor Bruckner and his family Neubrandenburg, the publisher estate of the Reuter- publisher Carl Dethloff Hinstorff and Hinstorff'schen Hofbuchhandlung and estates of Ida Hahn -Hahn and Friedrich Griese form their own stocks.
