FSC Star

Star Trucks is a Polish manufacturer of commercial vehicles. The name comes from the town of Starachowice, where there were the great works.

History

The first cars under the name Star 20 were produced in 1948. The most popular models were Star 20, 25, 28, 66, 200 as well as all-wheel drive Star 244 (4x4 ) and the definite for the Army Star 266 (6x6). In 1979, the first Popemobile used was constructed for the visit of the Pope to Poland. Base was the three-axle vehicle Military Star 660

In December 1999, Star S. A. taken over by the German group MAN AG and renamed Star Trucks, commercial vehicles since the brand Star with MAN technology there were manufactured. In November 2001, founded in 1993, MAN merged commercial vehicles Poland (the Polish distribution subsidiary of MAN) with the sales department of Star Trucks for new sales company - MAN Star Trucks Sp z oo, which is responsible for sales and service of Star and MAN vehicles in Poland is. In January 2009, production of vehicles of the brand Star has been set, Star Trucks produced since then only for the MAN and Neoplan.
