The wind turbine Laasow was from September 2006 to December 2012 with a hub height of 160 m, the highest wind turbine in the world. It was completed after three months of construction on 14 September 2006 by the company Fuhrländer in place Laasow ( district of Vetschau / Spreewald).

In December 2012, it was replaced as the highest wind power plant. In the Polish wind farm Nowy Tomyśl were two wind turbines of the same type ( Fuhrländer FL 2500), also with 160 meter high lattice tower, but 100 meter rotor diameter, built. These systems are thus about 210 m high.
