Fuji T-3

The Fuji T-3 is a single-engine aircraft for military training beginners, which was produced by Fuji Heavy Industries. Its first flight took place in 1974. It is replaced by the Fuji T-7.

Construction and Development

Originally referred to as KM -2B, the T-3 is a development of Fuji KM -2 (even a four-seat development of the T- 34 Mentor with a more powerful engine ) for use as a training aircraft for the Japanese Air Self-Defense Forces. It combines the structure and engine of the KM - 2 with the tandem cockpit of the T- 34 Mentor. The first flight took place on 17 January 1974. Fifty pieces were produced until 1982.
