Fujiwara no Kanezane
Kujo Kanezane (Japanese九 条 兼 実, * 1149, † 1207 ), also Fujiwara no Kanezane (藤原 兼 実), is the founder of the Japanese Kujo family at the suggestion of Minamoto no Yoritomo. Some sources also give Fujiwara no Morosuke ( 908-960 ) as the founder of the clan.
Kanezane organized the compilation of the Kitano Tenjin Engi, the illustrated history of the Kitano Shrine. At the age of 38 years he was Regent ( Kampaku ) for Emperor Go - Toba and 1189 Grand Chancellor ( Daijō daijin ). His diary is about to come under the title " Jewels [same ] Leaves " (玉 叶, gyokuyō ).
He was the father of Kujo Yoshitsune, of how he became Regent and Grand Chancellor, but already died in 1206.
