Fujiwara no Yorimichi
Fujiwara no Yorimichi (Japanese藤原 頼 通; * 990, † 1074 ), son of Fujiwara no Michinaga, his father followed in 1017 in the position of Sesshō, and Kampaku 1020-1068 In both positions, he acted as Regent of the Emperor. as there were a lot of his ancestors and successors also.
Before assuming the position of a regent Yorimichi bore the title of Nidaijin, the lowest rank among the ministers of state. He was raised by edict of his colleagues as Ichi no Hito, or " first subject ". This was probably necessary to allow Yorimichi being Sesshō and Kampaku.
He is also known as the founder of the Phoenix Hall at Byodo-in Temple in Uji.
