The Fukuoka Dome, Fukuoka officially since 2005 Yahoo! Japan Dome, is a baseball stadium in Fukuoka, Japan. The stadium, which opened on 2 April 1993, is the home arena of the Fukuoka Softbank Hawks from one of the two professional baseball leagues in Japan, the Pacific League.
Use
The Fukuoka Dome is primarily used for baseball games and concerts. The Fukuoka Softbank Hawks of the Pacific League played since the opening in 1993 of their home games in the stadium. In addition, at least one game of the Major League Baseball Japan All- Star Series at the Dome was held at each start of the competition between 1996 and 2006.
Among the most famous musicians and bands that gave concerts in Fukuoka Dome, include Bon Jovi, Aerosmith, Whitney Houston, Madonna, The Rolling Stones, Michael Jackson, Eagles, Queen Paul Rodgers, Ayumi Hamasaki, Frank Sinatra and Billy Joel.
