Fulmar of Karden

Folmar of cards, also Vollmar of cards (* 1135, † 1189 in Trier ) was Archbishop of Trier from 1183 to 1189.

Folmar was from the Moselle cards and held in Trier the office of archdeacon. He was instituted by Pope Lucius III. appointed Archbishop, while Emperor Frederick I Barbarossa the Trier Cathedral Provost Rudolf von Wied invested as archbishop. The dispute was only in 1189 null and void by the death of Folmar Kardens. Folmar was as an opponent of the emperor in the Investiture Controversy.
