It is prepared by liquid batter - is spirally inserted through a funnel into a pan of boiling oil and fried - consisting of flour, butter, milk, eggs and sugar. After draining, the grapes are sprinkled with powdered sugar and often served with lingonberry jam; they are eaten warm. It is a specialty that is cooked on special occasions and ( region) finds its place in many folk and air events.

Comparable example, there is also a Funnel Cake in the United States or as Tippaleipä in Finland.
