Furrina

Furrina (also Furina ) was one of many "small" goddesses of Roman religion. Already Varro indicates that it was in his time hardly known by name. In earlier times they must have had greater significance as their sanctuary was dedicated to the Janiculum its own feast day, the Furrinalia or Furnalia (July 25 ), and a grove and it also ( as with some other deities also had become meaningless ) one her particularly associated priest ( flamen Furrinalis ) announced.

Probably alone phonetic reasons it was set the absence of further knowledge subsequently in a relationship with the Furies or interpreted as a goddess of thieves ( latin for thief = ).
