FusionForge

FusionForge is a project management and collaboration software. FusionForge allows to host, among other things, projects, perform version management (with Bazaar, CVS, Darcs, Git, Subversion and / or Mercurial ) and bug tracker and mailing lists to create.

History and relationship

FusionForge is free software and a descendant of Forge, a web-based project management and collaboration software. This was originally created for use on the SourceForge.net platform. FusionForge is licensed under the GNU General Public License and is one that results from the GForge project secession. The removal took place in February 2009, when some GForge developers continuing the development of the old open-source source code of GForge under the new name FusionForge after the GForge Group put their focus on the proprietary GForge Advanced Server.

Up to version 3 Sourceforge was available as free software, but is now sold commercially and proprietary. In addition, developed a SourceForge programmer software also known as GForge open source project. Under the name GForge AS another proprietary software developed. To avoid confusion, the name that the free version of the original GForge will continue as FusionForge.
