Gabali

The Gabalier (Latin Gabali; Γαβαλεῖς Greek ) were a Celtic tribe in Gallia Aquitania and Gallia Narbonensis, who settled as clientele of the Arverni in this mountainous region in which Oltis (Lot) and Elaver (Allier ) arise.

In a work of the historian Konrad Mannert of 1804, the silver mines of Gabalier be mentioned. A Roman grave stone from Narbo ( Narbonne ) is called a veteran named Titus Valerius titulus, who belonged to the tribe of Gabalier. Plutarch mentions in his biography of Caesar the Gabalier among the tribes who joined Vercingetorix in total Gallic revolt against the Romans under the leadership of Kadurker - Prince Lucterius.
