Gabino Zavala

Gabino Zavala ( born September 7, 1951 in Tijuana) is a retired auxiliary bishop in Los Angeles.

Life

The archbishop of Los Angeles, Cardinal Timothy Manning, ordained him a priest on May 28, 1977.

Pope John Paul II appointed him on 8 February 1994 as Auxiliary Bishop in Los Angeles and Titular Bishop of Tamascani. The Archbishop of Los Angeles Cardinal Roger Mahony Michael gave him on 19 March of the same year the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were the Auxiliary Bishops John James Ward and Armando Xavier Ochoa from Los Angeles.

From his office he resigned on 4 January 2012.
