Gábor Ocskay

Gábor Ocskay junior [ ɡa ː bor otʃkɒ.i ] (Hungarian Gábor Ocskay; born September 11, 1975 in Budapest, † March 25, 2009 ) was a Hungarian ice hockey player. During his career he played 1993-2009 exclusively for Alba Volán Székesfehérvár. He also played 187 games for the Hungarian national team and is considered one of the most successful Hungarian player of all time.

Career

Ocskay, who was born in the Hungarian capital Budapest, denied the first time in 1993 - at the age of 18 years - Games for Alba Volán Székesfehérvár in the highest Hungarian league. Previously, he had been present several times the youth team of the country in international tournaments.

In subsequent years, the trained Center was one of the best players in the country and filled a vital role in the national team out. After he was C- in went up with the national team in the World Cup tournaments of the year in 1998 by the B group, he celebrated the following year with Alba Volánbusz their first league title since 1981.
