Gábor Wéber

Gábor Wéber ( born December 4, 1971 in Budapest) is a Hungarian race car driver. He won the 2003 and 2004 Hungarian Renault Clio Cup and the 2010 SEAT Leon Eurocup decided for themselves. He will start in 2012 in the World Touring Car Championship ( WTCC).

Career

Wéber began his motorsport career in touring car racing in 2002 for Zengo Motorsport in the Hungarian Opel Astra Classic Cup, he finished in fifth place. In the next season he took part two races of this series and won one of them. However, his main focus was on the Hungarian Renault Clio Cup, he made ​​twelve races decided with ten victories for itself. He also started in 2003 to a race of the Porsche Supercup. Wéber denied the next three seasons in the Hungarian Renault Clio Cup and was named after another league title in 2005 and 2006 second overall. In 2007 he took part in a race of this category and chose it for themselves.

His main focus was 2007, however, the Hungarian SEAT Leon Cup, he finished as runner-up. 2008 saw the start Wéber for Zengo Motorsport SEAT Leon Eurocup. He won one race, finishing in eleventh place overall. Internally, he beat out his teammate Norbert Michelisz whose discoverer he was. In addition Wéber participated in seven of the ten races of the Hungarian SEAT Leon Cup. He won two and was seventh overall. 2009 joined Wéber only two races of the SEAT Leon Euro Cup. He scored a second place. His teammate Michelisz won the championship. 2010 graduated Wéber the entire season of the SEAT Leon Euro Cup. He won three races and decided the championship with 48 to 42 points ahead of Michaël Rossi for themselves. After the SEAT Leon Eurocup was set in late 2010, left Wéber Zengo Motorsport and launched in 2011 for TAC Race Solutions in the German SEAT Leon Supercopa. He finished the season as the fifth overall.

2012 returns Wéber back to Zengo Motorsport and takes in a BMW 320 TC for the first time participated in the World Touring Car Championship ( WTCC). Unlike his teammates Michelisz who completes the entire season, Wéber is used only in the European races. After the second race weekend was an eleventh place his best result.
