Gabriel Badilla

Gabriel Badilla Segura ( * June 30, 1984 in San José ) is a Costa Rican football player.

Badilla is the young star of the Costa Rican defenders. At age 16 he made ​​his first appearance in the first division Costa Rica's Deportivo Saprissa at. In the same year he was already captain of his country's Under-17 team and played at the Junior World Cup in Trinidad and Tobago. In 2004 he was for the first time national champion and took the following year with the club the CONCACAF Champions Cup and then also 3rd place in the Club World Cup.

Gabriel Badilla debuted on 19 June 2005 in the Costa Rican national team. In just under a year before the World Cup 2006, he was once for seven and also appointed to the Costa Rican World Cup squad for Germany.
