Gabriel Bullet

Gabriel Bullet ( born March 22, 1921 in Estavayer -le- Lac; † 7 September 2011 in Lausanne) was a Swiss clergyman and Roman Catholic auxiliary bishop in the diocese of Lausanne, Geneva and Fribourg.

Life

Gabriel Bullet occurred in 1940 after the visit of the Collège Saint -Michel in Fribourg in the local seminary. He received on 8 July 1945, the priesthood and was then vicar of the parish of Saint -Antoine de Padoue in Geneva (1945 /46) and in the parish of Notre -Dame in Geneva (1946 /50). From 1957 to 1970, Bullet Vice- Superior of the Seminary of Freiburg and director and professor of liturgy and pastoral theology at the seminary of Freiburg. After studying in Rome and his doctorate in theology. at the Theological Faculty of the University of Freiburg in 1958, he taught moral theology at Freiburg until 1970 seminar. In addition, he was a lecturer for catechesis and moral theology at the University of Freiburg. From 1968 to 1971 he took over the leadership of the theology Institute of the University of Freiburg.

Pope Paul VI. appointed him on 29 December 1970 Titular Bishop of Glavinitza and appointed him auxiliary bishop in the diocese of Lausanne, Geneva and Fribourg. Emeritus Bishop of Lausanne, Geneva and Fribourg François Charrière donated to him on February 6, 1971, the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were François- Nestor Adam CRB, bishop of Sion, and Pierre Mamie, Bishop of Lausanne, Geneva and Fribourg. He was Vicar General and Episcopal Vicar for the canton of Vaud from 1987 to 1994.

Bullet was 1988-1991 Vice President of the Swiss Bishops' Conference as well as responsible for the topics " apostolate of the laity ", "marriage and family" and " Specialized Pastoral Care ".

His resignation was accepted by Pope John Paul II on 16 November 1993.
