Gairdner Foundation Wightman Award

The Canada Gairdner Wightman Award is a Gairdner Foundation annual award from the Canadian in Toronto Science Award. With it, Canadians are excellent, who have rendered outstanding services to the biomedical sciences, the line corresponding institutions that fight disease or the development of Canadian and international biomedicine. The price is 100,000 CAD doped ( as of 2011).

The first winner in 1976 was Keith JR Wightman. According to him, the award was named in the sequence.
